Break out your muffin pans and get ready for an easy to make chili dog recipe! This recipe is great for kids, when you have the need for a bite size meal, or when you don’y feel like making a hug meal/mess in the kitchen. To enjoy these you have to be a fan of chili dogs or at least a fan of chili and hot dogs.
We first wanted to try this because we have a hot dog lover in the group and we’ve seen all the videos going around on the bite size muffin meals on social media. It took us about 10 minutes to decide that our muffin meal would have to be something with hot dogs, we do what the boss says. We had some Pillsbury Grands!™ Flaky Layers Buttermilk Biscuits dough, Hormel® Chili, and Bar-S Hot Dogs so we decided to start there.
This recipe is simple. You slice the hot dogs into bite size pieces or you can cut them into chunks, your choice. It’s also easier if you pour the chili into a bowl. Place each biscuit in the muffin pan like you would a muffin/cupcake liner, the biscuit is going to be the cup that hold the goodies! Now you can either pre mix the hot dogs into the chili or do them separately, it’s easier to mix but we did it separately. We spooned some chili into the biscuit cup then added some hot dog, then a little more chili, then more hot dog. You also have the option to add onion to your mixture, we added onion to one pan…delicious! We did that with the rest of the biscuit cups until we were finished. We left a little space at the top (about 1/8 of the way from the top) to account for the rising of the biscuits and baked according to the biscuit directions. Cooking times may vary. When the timer went off we added some shredded cheese and put them back in the oven long enough for the cheese to melt.

2 cans Pillsbury Grands Biscuits
1 pkg Bar-S Hot Dogs
1 can Hormel Chili
1 c shredded cheese (we used a cheddar mix)
onion to taste (optional)
